Always understand that psilocybe semilanceata won't ever be located growing straight on dung. It is commonly identified expanding in close proximity to dung-rich fields and pastures, but will not likely connect with a dung heap home.  The stem surface is smooth, but glance intently and you will see silky, twisted fibres which make up the stem.�
